Faster? No. Louder? No. Funnier? Yes. Masterclass: Commedia dell'arte, the source of all physical comedy
with Andrea Lattari
In this Masterclass for students ages 12 through adult, you'll explore (and perform) the stock characters, physicalizations, and situations of the Italian commedia dell'arte style of theatre. Commedia masters Cinzia Grande and Andrea Lattari are graduates of the Accedemia dell-Arte school and have been performing and teaching across Italy and around the world for more than 25 years. They are the artistic directors of Maner Manush Theatre Company.
As you learn from them, it won't take you long to see the commedia style in the comedy of Carol Burnett, Lucille Ball, Tim Conway, Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani) and even Alison Janney (The West Wing and Mom).
