Master Class: Preparing & Memorizing Monologues for VT Auditions
with Benny Sato Ambush

For actors in grade 10 through adults.
Get your prepared, memorized monologues in shape and prime-time ready for upcoming Venice Theatre auditions. Monologues are a new audition requirement for many future Venice Theatre productions. Over the course of three once-a-week intensives, Venice Theatre’s Artistic Director Benny Sato Ambush will provide personalized, detailed, hands-on coaching/ mentoring on your prepared, memorized monologues. Among the topics he will cover: the real objective of auditioning with monologues, how to work on them, what to focus on, how to enter the audition room, what to do once you are in the room, how to exit the room, "secret sauce" helpful hints and other practical how-tos to increase your chances of getting cast. For class #1, bring in one memorized monologue two minutes or less in running time and be prepared to work on your feet. For class #3, bring in a different, memorized, two-minute-or-less, contrasting monologue. This intensive is tailored for those wishing to transform, to learn more deeply about who they are as an actor and human being, and to take charge of their destiny. Meet The Instructor
