This in-person class for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities builds confidence, life skills, and helps students experience the joy of performance through theatre exercises and acting studies. Students will audition for the 2024 Pinky's Players production at the end of the fall semester. Those cast will continue with rehearsals in the spring. Adult Improv w/ Spencer

Memorized monologue MasterClass workshop with Benny

In this MasterClass adult 2-day workshop, get your memorized monologues in shape and prime-time ready for Venice Theatre auditions working with Benny offering personalized, detailed, hands-on coaching and mentoring.
What You Will Learn:
- the real reason for auditioning with monologues
- how to work on memorized monologues
- what to focus on
- how to slate
- how to enter the room, what to do in it, how to exit
- helpful tips to increase your chances of getting cast
- BONUS: how to properly read an unmemorized audition piece
Class #1 on 10/28/23: Present one 90-seconds-or-less memorized monologue and be ready to work on your feet with Benny. Work on notes at home in the following week to prepare for Class #2.
Class #2 on 11/4/23: Present your reworked memorized monologue. Also, bring in a different, contrasting, unmemorized, 60-second monologue to read in class.
