Pinky's Players - Mondays

Prerequisite: Students must have been cast to participate in this program. Pinky’s Players is a Venice Theatre community engagement program - with so much heart - that gives adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities a chance to experience the delight of performing on VT's Raymond Center stage in May. Actors must be available for technical rehearsals May 1-8, 2025 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and performances May 8-11, 2025. Please note this program is not structured to offer one-on-one student support. Student actors must meet admission criteria.

In this unique class, you and your fellow students will study selected shows from VT's upcoming season. Class Time will include hearing from guest artists who will share their perspectives on directing, dramatic theory, and performance of the chosen shows.
Soup to Nuts! Acting and writing with Preston

In this adult writing and acting class, you will learn the process of writing an original script and the dynamics of acting the script. Specific topics will include character development, creating the scene's events, and tidbits of what a director looks at. Some memorization is required, as you will be acting your fellow students' scripts.
Imagine Yourself a Writer at Wellen Park

Camille's one-day workshop in the spring was so successful, students are asking for more! This 5-week class in Wellen Park is for the adult theatre fan or avid reader curious about writing. Cline covers everything from idea generation to publication, examining the creative process, editing, market and audience, and paths to publication. Attendees will leave with a writing plan, words on a page, and a newfound sense of inspiration. Ideal for the continuing education student.
