Coming Attractions! A Scene-Study Dive Into VT's 76th Season

Coming Attractions! In this creative acting class students will read, study, and act out scenes from VT's upcoming season while exploring characterization and the world of the play. Preston will guide students to breathe life into the characters. Students may participate in an evening showcase on Nov. 16, 2025, with a technical rehearsal the morning of Nov. 15, 2025.

Instructors: Becky Holahan and George DeJong Experience the joy of performance! This in-person class for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities builds confidence and life skills through theatre exercises and acting studies. At the end of the semester, students will audition for the 2026 Pinky's Players production. Those cast will continue with rehearsals in the spring. Please note classes are not structured to offer one-on-one support of students. Students must meet admission criteria.
5-6-7-8! Dance for Adults
with Vanessa Russo

Join Vanessa in her popular adult dance class. She'll have your feet doing moves you never knew they could do. Great for the adult who wants to brush up for auditions or just wants to move and have fun! Students will have the option to perform in a showcase on the evening of Nov. 16, with a tech rehearsal on Nov. 15.

It's up to you to fill in what comes before and where you are headed" - Michael Shurtleff In this class utilizing Michael Shurtleff's GUIDEPOSTS, Scott will help you navigate through monologues and scenes. Learn how making strong choices, taking risks, and listening to both your partner, and your own sense of direction will help you get where you want to be in your acting journey. Students may participate in an evening showcase on Nov. 16, 2025, with a technical rehearsal the morning of Nov. 15, 2025.

Life Words: Acting with Emotion
with Ric Goodwin

In this unique adult acting class, students will create an original performance piece based on the written word using various forms of literature, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, song lyrics etc. This class focuses on the emotion of the chosen material and how to share the emotional theme with the audience using vocalization technique and supportive gestures. Students may demonstrate their work to family and friends on the evening of Nov. 16, 2025 with a tech rehearsal on the morning of Nov. 15. Memorization not required. .
