Say Yes! Improv for Grades 6-8 PERFORMS!

This improv class is guaranteed fun for students in grades 6-8! Improv skills help actors think on their feet, participate in group dynamics, and hone their listening skills - key components in acting. Students will participate in the March 9, 2026 evening showcase. They will need to attend technical rehearsals on March 7th during the day and on the evening of March 8th.
Improv for Grades 3-5 PERFORMS!

Prerequisite: Fall Improv class for Grades 3-5 or permission of instructor. It's showtime! This semester our young improvers will get ready for their performance showcase where they'll strut their skills of acting without a script. Improv develops listening skills, group cooperation, and the ability to think on one's feet. Students must be available for tech rehearsals on March 7 during the day, March 8 in the evening, and for the 7:30 p.m. performance on March 9, 2026.
Musical Theatre for Grades 7-12 PERFORMS!

Prerequisite: Fall Musical Theatre class for Grades 7-12 or permission of instructor. It's showtime! Vanessa will get your dance moves going and Stephanie will tune your voices as you rehearse for your March 30, 2026 evening showcase. You must also be able to attend the daytime technical rehearsal on March 28, 2026. Additional tech rehearsals will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on March 25, 26 and 27. No class during spring break March 20, 2026.
Theatre Fun for Homeschool Students Ages 5-7 in Wellen Park

This homeschool class in Wellen Park is for students ages 5-7 who want to experience the joy of theatre. Let’s have FUN with improvisation, theatre games, and movement! Discover the actor’s tools: body, voice, mind, and imagination! Bonus: Theatre promotes group dynamics and improves communication and problem-solving skills.
Adventures in Acting for Homeschoolers Ages 8-14 in Wellen Park

This homeschool class in Wellen Park is for students ages 8-14 who want to experience the joy of theatre. Students will discover and develop their actor’s tools—body, voice, mind, and imagination—through improvisation activities, theatre games, and movement. Students will have the opportunity to work individually, in small groups, and as a whole group.
Workshop: Theatre Fun for Grades K-2 in Wellen Park

Test Drive Acting Class for Adults in Wellen Park

Calling all adults! Come "test drive" an acting class with Venice Theatre's lead instructor Brad Wages, and discover the joy of acting! For students who are new to the world of acting.
For Teens Only: Acting for Grades 9-12
with Brad Wages
This performance class for teens only (grades 9-12) will continue the work students started in fall as they rehearse for the March 30, 2026 evening showcase. Classes will focus on physicalization and discovering the world of the play. These techniques will be applied to character development with assigned scene work or monologues. Students must also be available for the daytime technical rehearsal on March 28, 2026. Additional tech rehearsals will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on March 25, 26 and 27. No class on March 17, 2026 during spring break.
