Learn to say, "Yes!" in this improv class for students in grades 6-8. Improv helps actors think on their feet, participate in group dynamics, and hone their listening skills - a key component in acting. There will be a corresponding spring semester class with a performance by the students.

Homeschoolers ages 5-7: Let’s have FUN with improvisation, theatre games, and movement! Discover the actor’s tools: body, voice, mind, and imagination! Bonus: Theatre promotes group dynamics and improves communication and problem solving skills.

Homeschool students ages 8-14 will discover and develop their actor’s tools–body, voice, mind and imagination–through improvisation activities, theatre games, and movement. During class time, students will have the opportunity to work individually, in small groups, and as a whole group.

This improvisation class customized for students in grades 3-5 is guaranteed fun! Improv aka the joy of acting without a script, develops listening skills, group cooperation, and the ability to think on one's feet. There will be a corresponding spring semester class with a performance.

Instructors: Vanessa Russo and Stephanie Jabre Give your musical theatre skills a tune-up! This in-person musical theatre class for grades 7-12 will integrate dance and song for a full musical theatre class experience. You will be amazed at what Vanessa will get your fancy feet to do and won't believe how Stephanie can bring out your singing voice! There is a corresponding spring performance class.

"Every scene or monologue you act, will begin in the middle. It's up to you to fill in what comes before and where you are headed" - Michael Shurtleff In this class utilizing Michael Shurtleff's GUIDEPOSTS, Scott will help you navigate through monologues and scenes. Learn how making strong choices, taking risks, and listening to both your partner, and your own sense of direction will help you get where you want to be in your acting journey. Students may participate in an evening showcase on Nov. 16, 2025, with a technical rehearsal the morning of Nov. 15, 2025.

In this unique adult acting class, students will create an original performance piece based on the written word using various forms of literature, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, song lyrics etc. This class focuses on the emotion of the chosen material and how to share the emotional theme with the audience using vocalization technique and supportive gestures. Students may demonstrate their work to family and friends on the evening of Nov. 16, 2025 with a tech rehearsal on the morning of Nov. 15. Memorization not required. .

This 4-day audition prep workshop is for female actors ages 6-12 who are interested in auditioning for the musical Annie.

Topics covered:

• Sept. 20: Theatre etiquette and monologues 
• Sept. 27: Prepping for the Vocal Audition
• Oct. 4: Prepping for the Dance Audition
• Oct.11: Characterization and auditioning with "the side"

Students are encouraged to bring in a 30-second monologue for the Sept. 20th class, and 16-32 measures of a song and sheet music for the Sept. 27th class. Feedback will be given. All workshops will be in the Raymond Center Classroom, except the Oct. 4th class which will be in the Education Rehearsal Room in the Main Building.
